Bread Gulab Jamun || Instant bread gulab jamun || how to make gulab jamun using bread

Bread Gulab Jamun || Instant bread gulab jamun is super delicious, soft and melt in mouth dessert. It can be prepared easily with minimum ingredients and in less time.Best dessert recipe for coming Diwali and christmas festivals. I had milk bread readily available at home, you can use whole wheat bread too(i did not tried yet). First time i prepared this when guest came for dinner unexpectedly and nothing was there to prepare other than bread, it came out very delicious and everyone loved it 😍. I did not used baking soda, you can use it to make fluffy.  Generally we grind bread pieces into fine powder like breadcrumbs, as i am using milk bread it is very smooth and powdered easily when mashed with fingers so i did not grinded it. Main point to remember here is "Do not add milk at a time, add milk little by little" to get perfect dough. You can also make this bread gulab jamuns by stuffing dry fruits or you can sprinkle grated dry fruits on top of bread gulab jamuns while serving.

I am sharing this melt in mouth, super soft bread gulab jamun recipe, i decided to share this recipe as it is very easy to prepare in our busy schedule at festival times.

Ingredients

for gulab jamun

White bread - 8
milk powder - 3 tsp
milk - 1 to 2 tsp

for sugar syrup

sugar - 1 cup
water - 1 cup
elachi  powder - 1/2 tsp
oil - to deep fry
lemon juice - 1 tsp


Instructions

1) Add 1 cup sugar in a bowl for that add 1 cup water and boil it by adding elachi powder. Boil it 5 minutes on medium flames then add lemon juice, close the lid and boil on flames till the syrup becomes thick and switch off the flames. No need to boil syrup to get string consistency.







2) Cut the sides of bread slices and cut bread into pieces. Then mash it with fingers (you can also grind it in mixer jar to fine powder like bread crumbs).




3) Add 1 tsp of milk  and milk powder, knead it well and make smooth dough.( i added only 1 tsp of milk as i used milk bread it is very smooth). Do not add milk all at once(**check tips).




4) grease some ghee/oil to your hand, pinch some dough and mould it into small round balls without any cracks. Heat oil in a pan, then add prepared balls and fry it on oil flames by stirring it continuously(**check tips)




5) Fry the balls it changes to golden brown color then immediately drop it into hot sugar syrup.






6) After dropping fried balls in sugar syrup close the lid and keep it aside for minimum 2 hours, so that gulab jamuns will absorb syrup and also doubles its size.



Bread gulab jamuns are ready to serve, serve it with any ice cream and enjoy this Diwali with your friends and family 😍🎇🎆🧨.

Tips

** You can grind bread to fine powder in mixer jar or mash it with your fingers depending on type of bread you use.

** you can also add pinch of baking soda if you want.

** You can also add few drops of rose water in sugar syrup if you want flavoured sugar syrup.

** As i used milk bread, it took only 1 tsp of milk to prepare dough, increase quantity of milk accordingly.

** Do not add milk all at once, add very little milk otherwise dough will become very sticky. 

** Grease ghee/oil to your hands so that you mould balls easily and well get perfect shape.

** Make sure that oil is not hot, if oil is hot switch off the flames and fry it continuously.

** Adding milk powder will give good taste to gulab jamuns.

** Just boil sugar to thick consistency, no need to get string consistency.

Multigrain Banana bread, Eggless, No Maida, No Oven , in kadai using loaf pan

             
Today's recipe is Multi grain banana quick bread prepared in loaf pan. It came out in perfect shape, spongy, moist and very delectable in taste. I used wheat flour, finger millet flour and almond powder to prepare this bread. Banana used in it adds more taste to the bread, i used grated almonds and choco chips for garnishing which is highlight in this bread. The crunchiness of almonds and chocolaty  taste of choco chips in the middle made this as the perfect tea time bread that everyone will love to have it.  My hubby presented me love shape cake mold, loaf pan, silicon muffins and few other shape molds few days back😍. I used heart shape mold to prepare Wheat flour carrot cake.  I just love breads, cakes , muffins simply all bakery items as many of you. But i was scared to have it, as because of using preservatives and all.  As i mentioned earlier that i never baked  before starting blog thinking that oven is must to bake. I prepared Rava Chocolate Cake  in kadai for my anniversary, it was awesome feeling 😍,  i personally felt baking is not much tough only thing is measurements and know how to cook it. I shared step by step pics so that it will be easy for you to bake .


    
      By this time you all know that i am part of Foodie Monday Blog Hop Facebook group. Last month i joined in this lovely group with the helps of  Renu This is my 7th post in this lovely blog, our hidden talents will come out automatically when we get perfect chance. It's very interesting right , it's all her talent and hard work. Wishing you many more success Kalyani 🎕. I loved her baking style, so i selected her  Quick Multigrain Almond bread. It came out very yummy and delicious , we both loved it😋. Let's start recipe


                                Multigrain Banana Bread

Preparation Time : 20 minutes

Cook Time : 50  minutes
Serves : 12 slices

Ingredients


Wheat flour - 1 1/2 glass(small)
Finger millet / Ragi flour - 1 glass
Almonds -  15 (to prepare powder)
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Milk - 1/2 cup
Choco chips - 1/4 cup
salt - 1 pinch

for grinding 

sugar - 3/4 rth(adjust accordingly)
Banana - 3 (ripe)
Rice bran or neutral oil - 1/2 glass
Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
Curd - 1/2 cup

For topping

Almond - 7
Choco chips - 2 tsp
Any flour - 1 tsp 

Others

Loaf pan 
Kadai  - big
Salt - 1/2 cup
stand

Instructions

1) Fry almonds on low flames for a minute , let it cool and grind it to fine powder. Add salt in kadai/ pressure cooker and preheat it on medium flames till we complete our process by placing stand in it and also close the lid on kadai(**check tips).





2) Now sieve wheat flour and finger millet / ragi flour, baking soda and baking powder, salt  in a bowl.






3) Add almond powder to the above and mix everything well.




4) Finely grate almonds in a cup, add choco chips in it. Dust some flour on it and mix  it once. I used bakers brand choco chips.






5) Now take blender ( or food processor) chop banana, add oil, sugar, curd, vanilla extract blend it to fine paste without any lumps.





6) Take the above prepared banana paste into wide bowl and add mixed flour little by little and slowly fold well without any  lumps.







7) If the batter is very thick add some milk or you can also add warm water to mix it.



8) Apply oil to the loaf pan, i also used small mold. coat some flour to choco chips and add it into batter, mix it once and later pour batter molds.







9)  Tap the molds for 2 to 3 times and place it into kadai carefully and close the lid. Cook it on medium flames for 5 minutes and reduce the flames to low and cook for 35 minutes. 



9) After 35 minutes open the lid and check it by inserting tooth pick if it comes out clearly without any batter it means that your bread is ready.  Otherwise cook it 10 more minutes. It took 50 minutes for me to cook.



10) When bread baked completely removed the mold out and let it cool completely to room temperature. Later scratch the sides of mold and place plate on it and reverse the plate. Tap on mold bread will come out easily.



That's it very healthy , tasty, spongy and moist multigrain banana bread is ready to serve.





Using sharp knife cut the bread into slice and enjoy it with tea/ coffee. We tasted it with hot coffee 😍😋.





Tips

** Instead of sugar you can also add powdered jaggery. Adjust sugar accordingly.

** preheating kadai is must, if it doesn't heat well, it will take more time to bake.

** You can also use pressure cooker, remove its whistle and gasket . Preheat it by adding salt like i did it in kadai.

** We can have it for a week when stored in refrigerator in air tight container. We can keep it outside for a day or two depending on climate.

** Do not open lid while baking, chance of sinking .

** Dusting flour on almond and choco chips is must, otherwise they will sink into batter while baking.

** You can also add all purpose flour along with other flours.

** Instead of milk you can also add warm water to loosen the batter.
